Jeep Hurricane Concept

The Jeep Hurricane is a bespoke custom concept vehicle that was unveiled at the 2005 North American International Auto Show in Detroit by American off-road brand Jeep. The Hurricane’s one-piece body is composed largely of light-weight structural carbon fiber. Its skid plate is an aluminum spine that connects the chassis to the underside of the vehicle. The Hurricane doesn’t have side doors or a roof, and there is only seating for two people. The driver and passenger enter the vehicle over bulkheads on each side. Hurricane is the best custom build concept vehicle with the one-piece body, which is composed of light-weight structural carbon Fiber. The skid plate is actually an aluminum spine that connects the underside of the vehicle with the chassis. With no roof and side doors, there are only two seats.

The four-wheel steering system allows the Jeep to move sideways. It won many awards back in 2005, such as IDEA Silver Award, a Popular Science “Best of what’s new” award, and an AutoWeek Editor’s Choice award in the “Most Fun” category! However, it is not expected to be a production vehicle due to the complexity and cost of the drivetrain! This masterpiece deserves not to get lost in history! Hurricane represents the continued success of bold concept vehicles for the brands as a means of demonstrating Chrysler Group’s creative and mechanical expertise. Too bad we won’t be able to see it in production!
